Many people think that anxiety disorders as something akin to fear of walking into a room full of strangers, or perhaps a great fear of public speaking. They can identify conditions such as agoraphobia, fear of leaving home or going to the open space, such as anxiety disorders, but think beyond that. But there are other types of social phobias and disorders that are included in this category, some of which received very little attention from the general public. And they all have characteristics that make them difficult both to diagnose or treat.
Eating disorders can be much more widely accepted by most people who have a relationship with anxiety, but may be more relevant in the minds of people with things like peer pressure or obsessive-compulsive behavior.
