ES2-albuterol is a short-acting adrenergic agonist receptor, which are under the class of drugs known as bronchodilators. It is used to relieve bronchospasm in conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Albuterol marketed under various trade names as Airomir, Asthalin, Asthavent, Asmol, Buventol, ProAir, Proventil, Salamol, Sultanol, Ventolin, and Volmax.

With asthma using albuterol inhalation aerosol to stop breathing problems during exercise. Albuterol works with ease and opens air passages to the lungs to make the process easier inhalation. Albuterol can also be taken by mouth and intravenously.
Under the brand “Ventolin,” a salbutamol is available in the United Kingdom in 1969 and in the United States in 1980.

This may be an aerosol with a nebulizer for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, along with ipratropium bromide and Pulmozyme. As agonist-ES2, albuterol is also useful in obstetrics. The injection of albuterol can be used as a tocolytic to relax the uterine smooth muscle to delay premature labor pain.
